A $20 buys one
adult admission for both days of the festival if purchased in Advance. $25
Day of the Festival. Kids age 12 and under are free when in the company of a paid adult.
Q Where is the
festival?

Q Is this a
Highland Games?
A No.
It is a Celtic music and heritage festival.
Q Are there
other activities at the festival?
A Yes.
There is a Highland athletics demonstration, a herding dog demonstration,
and a Scottish dance demonstration/workshop.

Are there children’s activities?
A There are no
activities geared especially for children.
Q Will there be
merchandise vendors at the festival?
A Yes.
Q Can I use a credit card at the festival?
A Cash Only for tickets at the gate. Cash Only for beer and food. Some merchandise vendors may take credit cards.
Q Is there an ATM nearby?
A Yes.
There is an ATM inside the pub ... BUT you must have cash to buy a ticket before
being admitted to the pub, so come prepared.
Q Will there be
Clans at the festival?
A Yes.
Q Is there food
available at the festival?
A Yes, there
are two food vendors: Cameron’s – traditional Celtic fare, including fish
n’ chips, sausage rolls, bridies, meat pies, haggis, Irn Bru; and Okie
Dokie’s Smokehouse – Carolina bar-b-cue
Q I have
special dietary needs. Will these
vendors have foods that fit special needs, like gluten-free, vegan, etc.?
A Probably not.
Q Will I be
able to bring my own food into the festival?
A No.
Coolers are not allowed. Feel
free to come and go from the festival if you want to eat at one of the area
restaurants or the supermarket.
Q I don’t
drink beer. What other beverage
options do I have at the festival?
A The food
vendors sell soft drinks, and there is free water inside the pub.
Q Will wine or
mixed drinks be available at the festival?
A Pisgah
Brewing serves wine by the glass. As to mixed drinks: No.
Q Can I bring
wine, alcohol, or other beverage into the festival?
A No.
Q Is seating
provided?
A No.
You may bring in a lawn chair or blanket, for seating.
Q Do I need to
buy a ticket in advance?
A It is
strongly recommended that you buy your ticket in advance, but tickets should be
available at the gate. If capacity
is reached (as determined by the Fire Marshall, a situation over which we have
no control) ticket sales will be cut off.
Q Is there a
service charge for ordering tickets online?
A No.
Q I ordered
tickets on line and have not received them.
Why?
A We are using
“paperless ticketing.” Simply
come to the gate, identify yourself, and the gate attendant will give you a
wristband that admits you to the festival both days.
Please do not take the wristband off until the festival is over.
Q Do I have to
wear the wristband?
A Yes.
Q Can I come
and go as I please? Can I re-enter
the festival?
A You may
re-enter the festival at any time, as long as you are wearing your wristband.
Q What is the
bathroom situation?
A There are
indoor facilities located near the brew pub.
Porta-potties are located outdoors.
Q Can we camp
at the festival?
A No.
The official campground for the festival is the Asheville East KOA,
located approximately 5 minutes away from the festival site.

Q Are there
hotels nearby?
A Yes.

Q Do I have
other lodging options?
A Practically
all of the major hotel chains have franchises located within easy driving
distance of the festival. There are
also luxury hotels located within easy driving distance, as well as several
small independently owned inns/hotels/motels.
Q What
supermarkets are nearby?
A In the town
of Black Mountain there is a Bi-Lo Supermarket and an Ingles Supermarket.
There are also several small convenience stores between the festival site
and Black Mountain.
Q Are dogs
allowed at the festival?
A Well-behaved
leashed dogs (6-foot leashes, please no retractable leashes) are allowed in the
Pub & Firepit areas only. Dogs are NOT allowed in the outdoor concert
venue. This is Pisgah Brewing's policy! OWNERS MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP
AFTER THEIR DOGS.
Q Is there
shade?
A There is
shade available. BUT if you want to
be right in front of the Main Stage, you may be in full sun.
You will find that our festival policies are similar to those of other outdoor festivals, and may in fact actually be less restrictive. For a few individuals, these policies may seem limiting; however, we feel that our policies are best for the safety, comfort and general well-being of the majority of our attendees. The number one policy: Relax, Have Fun, and Explore Your Celtic Heritage!
